Life circumstances changed and i never got around to it. I'm moving in early august and i need to get rid of it. When i purchased the motorcycle it had just returned from a 17,000 mile road trip around america. I feel really guilty and shameful that i let it deteriorate like this but hopefully someone can bring it back to life. I have a clean title to the bike.

I have decided somewhat reluctantly to consider passing on ownership of this cooler than cool time capsule 1976 honda cb 750 custom chopper motorcycle. I have owned it for many years and it has been a pc of furniture near a bar in my basement where i would occasionally rotate the motor with a couple of kicks while walking past it to keep it from sticking. I kind of hate to see it go, but i am realizing that though i have pampered and greatly appreciated it, it is not being seen and enjoyed like it should. I wanted to take it to bike shows and have learned that bikers like to keep moving and have rides instead of shows. I do not even have a bike license, nor am i in good enough health to really ride it if i did. In short this bike was built by a guy in the navy in the state of florida from what i was told, all of the welding and frame webbing was done by a navy welder,,later it was driven to new york and was placed into a small dark shed for many years where it began to suffer the consequences with a stuck motor and clutch, and some rust, and peeling chrome etc. But it also held up remarkably well in many ways and the motor freed up easily and without too much effort it was running and driving in the yard. It has a 1976 sticker on the neck and a 1985 department of navy sticker on the fender. The original owner had lost the paperwork for the bike, as most people who are familiar with these old custom bikes know, sometimes aftermarket frames where used and the registration would use the motor number as id. There where many modifications to what i think is the original frame. Back in 2010 i had the bike titled in ny in my name with a transferable title via a number plate on the frame neck. I actually drove the bike up and down my driveway a couple of times then turned in the plates. I removed the gas from the tank and the carbs and just enjoyed looking at it since. The bike number is cb750f2013501 the motor number is cb750e2400314. The gas tank was rusty inside, and there are some hard bumps near the rear of it under the paint, we thought maybe the paint would not be saved thinking the tank rusted through. I cut the inner lower valley of the gas tank out and glass beaded the entire inside surface and it cleaned up remarkably well with no holes. I then mig welded the valley back in. I backed up the welds on the outside with two coats of epoxy gas tank repair. I then treated the inside of the tank with eastwood sealer and preserver. The tank holds fuel fine, i don't know depending what the future holds for the bike if it anyone might want to have it re welded with a tig ????? , i am sure the paint job and mural will survive it if someone knows what they are doing. There is a small area of the bottom of frame under motor that has a couple of rust perforations in it, a couple inch area. I have not taken this too serious because the motor holds the structure of the frame and it would be an easy fix also. There is a slow oil leak on a connection from the oil tank. The handle bars have been painted with eastwood chrome paint. The chain guard and oil tank are covered in a chrome tape. There are places where chrome has started peeling on some parts, there is a starter motor but it does not work and we only kick started it. Also it has no battery in it for obvious reasons. There is no key, it was also lost so the mechanicals are removed from the switch and it just turns without a key. So thats pretty much it, current mileage reads 2553,, i had this bike on a trailer once and went into a gas station and when i came out there was a crowd of old timers around it admiring it and talking all kinds of back in the day name brands, and saying. * leave it alone!, don,t change a thing! *, i have just preserved it since. I think it is the coolest thing on the planet. The signed by its artist ,bruce hardin, mural on the tank is original of vampirilla, the gas tank was hand fabbed, it has its original lucas lights. It even has a cigarette lighter. Very cool webber carbs and velocity stacks. Kill and anti theft built into turn signal switch, if i remember it has to be switched to right turn for motor to run,and original leather pouch on rear. The times we had the bike running it always sounded and ran very well and the only problem would be fouling plugs and some fuel dripping out of carb stacks, so the carbs should be serviced. No smoke or ticking sounds. Some one will need to go through the bike and get to know it well before riding. Of all the vintage choppers and custom bikes i have seen this one struck me as so much nicer because it is in my view, thick and full, and just bad ass. I think the original builder said the motor was bored over souped up. Would be an awesome center pc in a great room or restaurant , or bike museum. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if reserve is not met. Or ask any questions or for other photos. The bike is sold to us only. The bike may be viewed by appointment before bidding. Remainder to be paid cash at pick up, preferred , or bank wire transfer. The bike will not be released from property until payed in full, should be picked up within a 30 days of auction end.
